How to Heal

How do you heal what hurts you? With one simple word – acceptance.

When you accept yourself, what you’re going through, everything in your world, and those around you, you let go of the idea that there is anything ‘wrong’ with anything. You let everything be so that it can exist in its own way, unopposed.

And this letting go allows you to heal what you’ve been fighting. It delivers the sweet surrender of peace. For when we let things be instead of judging them, we stop the battle within. And this changes everything.

The truth is that when we fight something, we actually encourage it. Wouldn’t you fight back if someone attacked you? Acceptance calls off the destructive war. It ends the suffering inside.

We can think that we know what is best. We can try to control what we see around us, but this only creates struggle. For what we suppress rebels from lack of acceptance. It keeps getting our attention, however it can, until we finally accept it.

This struggle includes how you view yourself. But when you accept yourself exactly as you are, you end the war within. You no longer need to manage how you are, and so you don’t have to suppress a thing.

Finally, there is no need to hide what you feel. There is no need to hide what your being longs to do. And so, your expressions don’t have to be imbalanced, unhealthy, or destructive. Full, harmonious, and divine creation is allowed.

Acceptance brings you more than you could ever imagine! It opens your world in ways that you could never predict. And this is because you’re no longer limiting yourself with predictions. You are accepting the magic of creation without expecting anything at all.

This aligns you with infinite possibilities. It lets life surprise you with thrills your mind could never plan! And that is when love is allowed to flood through your being and pour into your life. Because acceptance is unconditional love incarnate.

This is the love that you are made of. And it comes naturally when you accept yourself.

This is how you heal, dear friend, and soar beyond the stars! You see that everything is perfect, and that you never needed to be healed at all.

When I face my deepest pain, what I feel most is resentment. I see that I hold so much resentment about the human experience.

Deep down, I resent that all of us have to live through heartbreaking stuff while blindly navigating our way. I hate the powerlessness that we as humans are conditioned to maintain. We have lived so separate from love and felt fearful of the freedom we deserve. I absolutely resent that we all have to endure such pain.

At a more personal level, I resent that I have really hurt people while finding my way and following my heart. I resent that people have hurt me, especially in my youth when all I wanted was to belong. No matter how much gratitude I feel for life, my resentment lies buried underneath, and it is asking to be healed.

Resentment lies at the core of human pain. But it leaves me disempowered. It keeps me stuck and complaining. I become a victim whose only voice is blame. I point the finger outside and forget that the reflection starts within.

We all create the world we live in. It is time to consciously own this power. It is time to move from “Woe is me” to “I chose to be here right now.” But this means healing our deepest wounds.

The cure for resentment is forgiveness. It is a process of no longer owning pain. And at some point, we realize that we have to forgive ourselves the most. We reach a hell so deep that it becomes obvious that self-forgiveness is the only way out. This forgiveness transforms us at the core and purges our humanity clean.

What comes next is a peace so wide and a freedom beyond the clouds! Right now, I am experiencing this freedom myself, and it is more expansive than my wildest dreams!

I want this freedom for all of us, and with it we will change the world. But it requires an internal shift that begins with a question: are you feeling resentful or empowered? Do you walk around with resistance, or are you open to consciously create? By choosing the latter, you become the beautiful creator you are. And we all want this for you as much as you want it for yourself.

* Share the Spiritual now has a Share page! Please feel free to leave spiritual comments here. Thank you for sharing the journey with us all.

You are already engaged in the ultimate spiritual practice, exactly as you are right now. At this moment, your life is giving you specific lessons that your soul deeply wants to know. And what you are going through is perfectly perfect for you. Because you planned it to teach you the most.

You wanted your life to be a spiritual practice that you couldn’t avoid, and so you laid it out optimally. You wanted to be shown how you feel separate so that you could heal that separation in you. And so, you chose specific challenges that would push you to grow. Because you wanted to see just how you suppress love and withhold it from yourself.

That is why your life can feel so relentlessly frustrating – because it shows you how you want to grow with love. And so, every day, you are being asked to summon love and act with it on this earth. That is why you can’t expect perfect health and happiness, nor relationships that don’t challenge you at all. Because the point is that you are here to challenge yourself.

The beautiful truth is that you want to stop separating yourself from love. And even though that can seem impossible, it is the easier thing to do.

Once you accept this, challenges become opportunities rather than disappointments that lead to suffering. Your life shines with meaning, and its spiritual practice is revealed. You realize that you already are where you want to be – growing passionately.

Are you willing to take advantage of this gift and learn all that it has to teach? You went through a lot to get here, so seize this chance while you have it. Are you willing to expand with more love than you ever thought possible? If you haven’t already done so, dear friend, hear the resounding yes from your soul!

For a long time, I resented that I had to come here and live a human life. But now, I see that I create what I experience because it is a reflection of my own beliefs. So now, all I want to do is expand and open myself yet more. I am following my steadfast heart, even when my human self suffers in fear. But underneath, always, I can feel my soul beaming!

Life is asking us to seize its riches, and we planned its noble challenge. That is how brave we are to be spiritual beings on this relentless human earth. So if you’re beating yourself up for not meditating or practicing yoga, stop, and realize where you are. You are already engaged in the most effective spiritual practice, and nothing is more important than it.

Wake Up!

It has been a while since I’ve posted, dear friends, but I’m back to Share the Spiritual again. While I was gone, personal crisis came into my life and changed it forever, affecting everyone I hold dear. I turned us inside out and served spiritual lessons galore. In retrospect, this challenge I never saw coming had the power to shake us to the core and deliver invaluable riches.

The spiritual journey never ceases in this human realm, and that is what our souls ardently desire. We want this precious opportunity to grow exponentially, and this requires extreme courage. It means that we will know events that push us to the edge of our humanity and obliterate comfort zones. The bigger the crisis, the bigger the growth. The more honest we can be through it all, the more our souls shine with gratitude.

If you are going through personal turmoil of your own, know that you are not alone. You are living in times of unprecedented transformation that require walking through the fires of your own hell. But the other side is sublime. Because you are being given the opportunity to free yourself from lifetimes of human conditioning – lifetimes of feeling inferior and powerless.

Your relationships inspire this and play it out. They vacillate between supportive and heartbreaking, driving you to seize your freedom. And this is because they show you how you are imprisoning yourself.

If you can open yourself to feel what you are being shown, you will get closer to freedom every day. If you can hear your soul’s call and love yourself as you answer, you will grow brighter than you ever dreamed! And you will teach those around you. This is your destiny.

So hold my hand, dear soul, and let’s dive into these last lessons together. Remember, we are all one consciousness, reuniting after eons of separation. If you haven’t already done so, wake up to all that you are beyond this human world. It is time to open your eyes to your unlimited capabilities in these limiting environs. For you are a powerful, multi-dimensional being living out a temporary human existence. And through your bright awakening, you are here to change the earth.

Love is Easy

Spiritual love is easy. Resisting it is hard. But resistance is what we’ve been taught. It’s what we settle for and plan our lives around.

Resistance means trying to control things by defining them, before they’ve even been experienced. It means denying what we go through before we have seen the lessons there. This is the detrimental consequence of resistance. It keeps us from actualizing what we came here to experience. It squanders the opportunities of our human lives.

In your own life, every time that you ignore an experience, you resist what is asking to be felt. Every time that you measure a human being, you resist the love that is waiting to be known. And when you focus on what you aren’t getting from what’s around you, you end up limiting your very self. Because the judgment that you inflict upon the world begins and ends with you.

The truth is that it takes tremendous work to perpetuate limitation. It is endlessly exhausting to constantly judge your little world. But you can decide to let this thinking go and expand your consciousness. You can open your magnificent heart and feel the ease of love instead.

Of course, opening your heart can be scary. There’s a lot you have buried in there. But once you acknowledge how you really feel about what you have been through, you can let it go. It finally stops defining you.

And then you will feel a peace you may have forgotten, perhaps for a very long time. You may even begin to feel ecstatic, as you let love flow through you again. This is the love that you come from. It is who you really are.

You see, love is easy. Resisting it is hard. You are here to remember this and to act with love instead. That is why you are living as a human being – to heal yourself by surrendering yourself to effortless spiritual love.

Thanks to You

At this moment, your life is giving you the experiences that your soul ardently desires. Everything that you are going through is prompting you to grow in ways your soul has always wanted to. And during these intense times, you are being asked to grow more than you ever have before.

At this moment, you are being challenged to stop the human madness of resisting love. You are being reminded to summon the infinite love that has always been within you. When you do, you open your all-accepting heart, and you grow your very soul. Not only that, but you inspire all of us to do the same in this frustrating, limiting world. You show us that limits are to be overcome, so that we can grow more than we thought possible.

Oh I know how impossible the task can seem! I know just how unforgiving life can feel. And that is why you are such a brave adventurer. You are so courageous to be a human being.

But you have everything you need to break through your challenges with love. You have the exact situations and relationships that will perfectly get you there. When you do, what seemed impossible becomes almost easy. In fact, you become grateful for everything you’ve ever had to endure.

And this gratitude isn’t about repenting or feeling unworthy. It’s not about feeling guilty because you haven’t been grateful before. It means loving all life without condition, including yourself. It means seeing that this love is integral to you.

When you feel fully grateful with love, you behold the beauty in all things, and then you recognize that same beauty in yourself. You remember that you are made of the haunting magic of creation, and yet your stardust is absolutely unique. Your part is essential in the dance of life, and it always, undeniably has been.

If you’d like to experience more gratitude, try this simple exercise:

One by one, think of the people who have touched your life in both “positive” and “negative” ways. Reflect upon what each person has taught you and the myriad ways they have shown you yourself. Think about what you have gained by knowing this human being and how pivotal they’ve been to your growth. Thank this person in your heart, and tell them what they mean to you.

Now view yourself in this same light. Think about everything you have been through in your life and the epic ways you have grown. See that your challenges required brave choices – in fact, every choice you ever made was brave because it created invaluable experience. This led you closer to recognizing the divine truth about you – that you are utterly exquisite to the core, and the universe is infinitely grateful for you.

Be in Nature

Nature is constantly singing to you in a language your soul will recognize. She is humming an ancient melody that will stir your joy within. And when you fully listen to her song, you will begin to heal all that has ever ailed you. You will come back to life, so much so that you can barely contain it. That is when you remember how infinite your being has always been.

God’s World by Edna St. Vincent Milllay

O world, I cannot hold thee close enough!

Thy winds, thy wide grey skies!

Thy mists, that roll and rise!

Thy woods, this autumn day, that ache and sag

And all but cry with colour! That gaunt crag

To crush! To lift the lean of that black bluff!

World, World, I cannot get thee close enough!

Long have I known a glory in it all,

But never knew I this;

Here such a passion is

As stretcheth me apart, –Lord, I do fear

Thou’st made the world too beautiful this year;

My soul is all but out of me, –let fall

No burning leaf; prithee, let no bird call
